A Vision Grown from the Soil of Belonging

Heidi Lynn Dietrich [Heidi Grace] began dreaming up and designing this YTT offering while on sabbatical in 2013. Alongside beloved mentors and friends, the first 200-hour YTT was in 2014 at Selva Armonia in Costa Rica. Since then, Nature Yoga has expanded to include online trainings, in-person retreats, and advanced immersions all over the world.

Heidi Grace's journey began not in a studio, but in a longing for connection, for authenticity, for a way of life that made sense. After a decade in Chicago wondering why she didn’t quite fit into the Corporate world she had stepped into after college, she returned to her Northern Michigan roots and co-founded a community art center. That spark lit the path of creating spaces for others who also felt different, sensitive, wildly wise, and deeply intuitive.

Nature Yoga was born as a refuge for introverts, creatives, nature lovers, and truth seekers - those who often feel like misfits in modern life but who, in sacred community, come alive.

One of the most cherished reflections we hear from students is this:

“I’ve never felt more free to be my whole self.”

Each training becomes a healing container, where old stories are released, voices are reclaimed, and students feel seen, safe, and celebrated. This is not just about learning poses, it’s about becoming whole.

Testimonials

"This is more than your typical Yoga Training. After finishing Teacher Training with Heidi and her incredible group of guest instructors, I have not only started on a life-long yogic path, but joined a group of wonderful, supportive, knowledgeable, inquisitive, patient, and empathetic sisters who have met me where I am at with respect and without judgement.

If you are looking to deepen your knowledge with Teacher Training, Nature Yoga’s instructors and programs are incredible."

~Amanda, 2024 graduate

This was more than just a teacher class, it was the beginning of a spiritual journey for me. It inspired me to take more classes. I have lost over 25 pounds since and practice some form of yoga almost every day.

From the beginning, I felt welcomed and a part of the class even though I had not much yoga experience. The teachers were excellent.  They presented the lessons/materials with challenging goals but were very patient. I have learned so much.

To this day, I still consider my yoga school sisters as friends. Since then, I completed my 40 day sadhana and obtained my certificate from Yoga Alliance.

I would highly recommend attending Nature Yoga Teacher Training with Heidi Grace and Jessica.

Founder & Lead Teacher

Heidi Lynn Dietrich, E-RYT 500, YACEP

Heidi Lynn Dietrich [Heidi Grace] is a yoga teacher, retreat leader, and Ayurvedic wellness guide who approaches yoga as a lived practice, one that informs how we move, rest, create, and relate to the world around us.

Rooted in the understanding of yoga as an applied lifestyle, her work invites us to explore balance, discernment, and embodiment through practice both on and off the mat. Drawing from Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda, Tantra, Yoga Nidra, and subtle body teachings including Sound Healing, Heidi Grace offers a grounded, spacious approach that supports integration.

Her teaching emphasizes harmony between inner truth and lived experience, encouraging practitioners to cultivate clarity, resilience, and freedom through conscious rhythm and self-inquiry.

Heidi Grace completed her initial 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Marianne Wells Yoga School in Costa Rica in 2009. She later completed 108 hours of Anusara training in Boulder, Colorado, and earned her 500-hour certification in 2013 with Brenna Geehan and Jean Mazzei of SriYoga in San Francisco.

She has been training and certifying yoga teachers since 2012 through Yen Yoga & Fitness in Michigan, as well as through Nature Yoga in Costa Rica, India, and online. Her work spans international retreats, teacher trainings, and long-term mentorship for practitioners seeking depth, sustainability, and maturity in their practice.

Heidi Grace is the founder of Dharma & Grace Yoga Retreats, Nature Yoga, and Charlevoix Yoga.

During the pandemic, she continued her studies with a focus on nervous system health and integrative healing, completing trainings in:

  • Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga
  • Yoga for Recovery (Y12SR)
  • Ayurveda 3.0
  • Ayurvedic Cooking & Nutrition
  • Kundalini Yoga

In addition to her primary passion working in yoga, travel and Ayurveda, Heidi Grace serves as a special advisor on human-centered initiatives focused on advancing health, wellbeing, and conscious design. She is part of a design consulting business in Encinitas, California, offering guidance on the creation of conscious destinations and sustainable real estate projects.
