Marron Kenney
Marron discovered yoga in 1999 as a way of dealing with a running injury, and quickly became an avid practitioner of Ashtanga yoga. After several years of regular yoga practice Marron studied and completed her first Ashtanga yoga teacher training in 2004 with senior teacher Richard Freeman of Boulder, CO. Subsequently, she completed three Ashtanga teacher trainings with her most influential teacher Tim Miller of Encinitas, CA in 2005, 2006, 2007 in addition to Yogaview's Yoga teacher training in 2006. Marron has taught yoga in Chicago, Missoula, Montana and Portland, Maine and is now happy to be back home in Chicago teaching once again.
Marron is deeply committed to both her daily yoga practice and distance running- she enjoys ashtanga as well as other styles of yoga, taking lots of different classes and workshops around the city. Marron's classes are either traditional ashtanga or dynamic vinyasa flow yoga, both accessible and welcoming to all levels encouraging attention to breath, balanced strength and flexibility, self acceptance and of course a sense of humor.
